Our 737 Flight Simulator is owned and operated in Hobart by SIMSATION
Home Sweet Home Mon, 9 Nov 2009 9:49am
World Flight Australia Team 737 Hobart arrived back into Sydney last night with one engine and a very tired crew. 45 legs, 44 airports, god knows how many miles and many more stats to come. We have all had a ball once again and wouldn't miss it for the world.
It's not too late to donate to the cause. If you'd like to contribute something to the RFDS, please follow the links to donate to the cause.
I'd like to finish off by thanking all the people who made the trip possible. All the crew, all the sponsors and supporters including Fran, Joan, Jess, Jill, Glenda, Channel 10, The Hobart Mercury, 7HOFM, Cripp's Bakehouse, Olive Tree Catering and the Bellerive Yacht Club, Canal Pizza and Cockpit Builder dot com.
Last but not least a very big thanks to Nic "SimGod Jnr" D'Alessandro and Neil "Piano Keys formally known as TOGA" Brown at SIMSATION for taking their time and the sim out of action for the entire week so we could complete the trip that we love so much.
Until next year!

Bluey 737 is currently in South East Asia heading from Subic Bay in the Philippines to Guam, somewhere in the Pacific. We have a healthy band of Jumpseat and Business class passengers in attendance the crew is now preparing for departure for the last few international legs of the journey. Early tomorrow morning we expect to cross back into Australian airspace flying into Darwin, then on to Alice Springs, Adelaide, Melbourne and back to Sydney to complete the round the world trip.

Bluey 737 is now high above the Canadian Rocky's with Capt. Steve "Shirley" Marion at the controls and former Qantas 747 captain Gary from the jumpseat having a guest appearance in the F/O's seat. Enjoying discussing all the differences between B747-300s and a modern glass cockpit 737NG. Estimating into Anchorage early with Nic and Neil on ATC.....Should be interesting!
USA here we come Fri, 6 Nov 2009 8:16am
This morning Bluey737 crossed into the United States via Washington, Detroit and now on to Kansas. The guys are enjoying the local traffic and controllers, and the busy skies across the US. We've had a few minor tech issues, but the simulator ploughs on.. now into it's 5th day of constant operation. Thanks to all those watching us on webcam and sending messages - we appreciate it!
